THE PROBLEM:
Rachel's brand hardly represented her personality and the quality of her bridal seamstress services. She wanted a brand and website that she could confidently share and that she knew would help convert her ideal clients.
OUR SOLUTION:
Starting with a more edgy foundation, we built a custom brand and website for this seamstress in Fort Collins, using a fun scissors and combat boots aesthetic. The brand became one that Rachel was ecstatic to share!
Extra brand assets:
When we set out to create the branding for Change Of A Dress, a bridal seamstress based in Fort Collins, Colorado, the goal was to strike the perfect balance between edgy and softly feminine. We wanted the look to feel confident and bold, without leaning too far into traditional "girly" territory — creating a brand identity that feels modern, inclusive, and welcoming to all types of brides.
Owner Rachel Natali is proud to offer an LGBTQ+ friendly experience for her clients, and it was important that her branding reflected that open, celebratory spirit. The visual direction uses a strong yet elegant font pairing and a moody color palette, giving the brand an alternative bridal edge while still feeling warm and inviting.
A few months after her brand launch, Rachel celebrated by organizing a brand photoshoot — and she took the experience to the next level by partnering with Kate Bakes Colorado to create custom cookies featuring her new logos and brand icons. It was such a fun, personal touch that perfectly showcased her new brand in a playful, memorable way. Incorporating personalized branding elements like these into professional photography is a creative strategy for making your visuals even more cohesive and impactful.
The final branding for Change Of A Dress is a bold, refreshing take on the bridal industry — one that celebrates individuality, love in all forms, and the power of a beautifully tailored gown.
Emily is the GOAT.
I was referred to her by a few of my other bridal sewing gals who have used her; and she did not disappoint! From start to finish, she really gets to know you and what you are looking for. All I had was my business name and a few colors that I used, and she helped me completely develop the right style for me. I love my website and my new logos and icons and I get compliments all the time!! 10/10.
The website for Change Of A Dress was built as a customized template within Showit, allowing us to keep the process efficient while still adding creative, custom touches to make it feel fully aligned with Rachel’s new branding.
From the start, we knew we wanted the site to lean into some alternative, edgier design elements that would set it apart from typical bridal sites. One of the standout features is the rotated top navigation on each page, offering a unique browsing experience that feels modern and a little unexpected — much like the Change Of A Dress brand itself. We also layered text and images throughout the site, creating a more dynamic, collage-style feel that keeps visitors visually engaged without feeling overwhelming.
To add a meaningful, personal touch to the design, we incorporated Rachel’s sewing pattern into the background textures across the site. This subtle but impactful detail nods to her craft and expertise in a way that feels organic and authentic, helping to immediately communicate what Change Of A Dress is all about: highly skilled, custom bridal alterations with an edge.
Overall, the finished site is polished but playful, edgy but welcoming — the perfect digital home for a seamstress who believes every bride deserves to feel powerful, seen, and celebrated in the gown of their dreams.
